Damn right... One of the best movies I've ever seen.

I actually thought this was pretty good. Pretty slow, but pretty good.

This was okay, and I'm saying okay in that it was pretty different and needed a lot of patience to make it okay.

Didn't see this, but it sounds pretty interesting.

Very underwhelming, IMO.

BTW, please, nobody should bother spending their money on 2012. Probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Period.

Hurt Locker was okay, but I definitely don't see where it got all of the accolades. In my opinion I thought it was "an okay movie, at best". I have a lot of service buddies that are pretty pissed off over this one.

Couldn't agree more! No substance, just way over done CGI.

Just got done watching Shutter Island. A little predictable, but all and all still a good movie.

We just picked up the Alice In Wonderland blu-ray yesterday, and I surprisingly enjoyed it. Typical Tim Burton/Johnny Depp, but I really enjoyed it.

Thought I'd resurect a thread myself.

"Tron: Legacy". Bad ass! Great soundtrack too.

"The Hurt Locker". Great movie. Not realistic, I think, but a great movie all the same!

Drag me to hell - dumb stuff
Iron Man 1 - awesome
Shutter Island - dumb stuff
Dark water - cool dark and sad movie(I still love Jennifer lol)
Any Twilight movie - extremelly crap and dumb stuff
Ben Hur (1959) - still one of my favs
Batman Begins - Crap movie and I started hating Christian bale
The Machinist - awesome,Bale is awesome and my hate died.
The dark knight - the only Batman movie I didn't hate. It's dark and cool but could be really better.
Superman Returns - GOOD LORD
Underworld 1,2 - Master pieces
Underworld Rise of the lycans - not crap but weak, not in the same league as the other 2.
The endless summer 2 - if you like the ocean an amazing beautiful places you'll like it.Plus cool soundtrack including some Gary Hoey songs.

Avatar - utter garbage with some other movies stories glued together. There are so many other movies from different countries with the same story but different characters.A guy posted this in another forum =

Who judges what is good or bad taste?
If somebody doesn't like a guitar you like it means he has bad taste for guitars?
It's all about personal tastes.

Nope no modern Hitc....but somebody trying to copy Hitc....but couldn't even get closer to Hit....
Boring and predictable.Reminded me a lot of other movies which tries to take away the watcher attention from what is really happening.Around 20 minutes I knew already what was happening.
Predictable.

Couple of recent ones in theatres or netflix...

The Fighter - A+ movie just amazing performances. I had no knowledge of the history of this true story. Must see.

Inception - Very very good flick but probably too complicated for many viewers.

The Office Season 1-6 - (netflix streaming. Great viewing & no dvd/bluray required for hi def streaming. A+ show i'd never previously seen an episode of.

The Pacific - HBO Mniseries. I'm 4 episodes in is great viewing. Done by the same crew who did the awesome Band of Brothers WWII miniseries about the War in Europe.

Avatar Special Editions (Bluray) - for the fans but adds some backstory. I prefer theatrical editions 99% of the time including these for overall tightness.

Dexter Season 1 - A little cheey and making most of the Cops look like dolts but a fun series to watch about a like-able sociopath.

Just saw "Black Swan" and it was really good, but not mind blowing. I thought Inception was better.

Re: Saw a couple of great movies recently (recommend a movie master thread)

i liked Inception a lot. Nolan's becoming one of my fave directors, i like most of his films, if not all.
i liked Paranoid Park a lot too, great photography and soundtrack also. Moon is another movie a liked a lot lately. its soundtracks reminds me of Solaris (2002).
