Re: Saw a couple of great movies recently (recommend a movie master thread)
Jennifer Lawrence is supposedly signed to come back as Mystique in the X-Men First Class sequel... titled "Days of Future Past". While I liked First Class the continuity is all garbage now and I'm highly skeptical of the sequel. "Days..." is arguably one of the best story lines in comic lore.
That said I'm actively avoiding "Hunger Games". While it's probably decent my 80's upbringing keeps comparing the premise to "The Running Man". That and I hear its a rip off of a Japanese movie called "Battle Royale".

Saw Sinister today.
Better then most new horror movies. There were a few parts where you could count down from 10 and know exactly when and where something was going to happen, but it wasn't as bad as most are.
A few things in there that definitely got me to jump.
7/10. Better than most new horror movies.

Re: Saw a couple of great movies recently (recommend a movie master thread)
I recently saw an old movie that came out back in the late 90's. It's called Dead Man on Campus. Seriously I laughed so hard at some parts I would miss the next 2 or 3 minutes. I'll have to watch again.

Although its been out for over a year, I just saw the movie "Super" with Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page. One of the most brilliantly twisted, fu*ked-up violent, subversive films I've ever seen. I LOVED IT...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Speaking of Ben Affleck, when will Matt Damon start playing in deeper rolls again? That thing he did with the zoo looked like one of those "My career is dying and I need to pay the bills" kind of movies.

Just watched Looper, it was great. Also saw Chernobyl Diaries recently, it was ok, reminded me of Cloverfield with the handycam filming style.
Rock on!

I'm not big into Bond movies but Skyfall was ok...
But speaking of Daniel Craig I watched Layer Cake (2004) the other day and I thought it was a really good movie. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was a great one for him as well...
Watched Sinister with my son last night, he loves horror and ghost movies, and that was pretty good and creepy...

I hate all Bond films, stories are predictable and boring, bad guys are dumb as hell, my father was a fan so I watched a lot of them.
Sinister?
Gotta check it out.
I love horror and sci fi movies, even the crap ones cause they set our minds free, anything can happen there like prog music and that's what I like the most.
Cool I just found it, for anyone interested in watching it =
