Shamrock v Ortiz 3
Did anyone catch it last night? I had a family thing come up and I missed it.
I'm betting Ortiz won but how was it?

Yeah, Ortiz won in the first round. Kinda went like the second fight. I'm glad it's over and Ortiz can fight Liddell now.

Re: Shamrock v Ortiz 3
It was almost a carbon copy of their second fight except that this one lasted somewhere around 2 1/2 minutes instead of 1 1/2.
But the most exciting feelgood moment was after the fight, and after tito's gravedigging victory dance, ken offered his hand to tito and the two of them let bygones be bygones. Tito even said a few things about watching ken from the ufc's beginning and looking up to him for many years.
I wasn't really surprised but i'm sure spike tv got good ratings for it and it was good tv.

good, it was getting old, but I always liked Ken Shamrock, I hate seeing him get whooped so thoroughly

Re: Shamrock v Ortiz 3
I guess it just didn't have the same feel as the others, because there really just is no doubt that Tito is the overwhelming fighter, and the same thing was going to happen, which it did.
I am glad to see that Ortiz is getting in the ring with Liddell in December. That one will be worth watching.

Re: Shamrock v Ortiz 3
Tito's ground game is just too much for Shamrock. I knew they'd bury the hatchet, it was all hype created to help draw audience which it did a la professional wrestling.
Tito was a great coach on season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter too. He really helped the guys whereas Shamrock seemed to just want to argue and complain. Or at least that's how they edited it.

Re: Shamrock v Ortiz 3
Even tho Tito always seems to win I'm going to have to stay loyal to Shamrock, I've followed him since the beginning. I hope one day he'll come along and just tear Tito up, don't know if it will ever happen but theres just something I don't like about Tito, be nice to see him whooped, if not by Shamrock hopefully by Liddell. When is that fight suppose to be?

December 30th. It will be another slugfest with Liddell coming out on top. Liddell has a great sprawl, much better than Ken's, therefore Tito is going to have a hell of a time getting him on the ground.
Eventhough I really would have liked to have seen Liddell vs. Silva.

Good, I'd love to see someone put Tito in his place.

Ken was great but he's just past his prime. It's a young mans game now.

Liddell already beat Tito once and it's highly doubtful that Ortiz can keep Chuck on the ground anyway, much less dominate him like he did Ken both times. It would be quite an upset if Tito were to win, and I doubt Chuck is going to make it easy.
