I've seen the movie.
As in all of his movies, he blatantly distorts the truth and ignores evidence that would refute his claims. No one takes Michael Moore seriously anymore.

I suggest you tread lightly on this sort of topic.
We don't normally discuss political issues here on Jemsite.
There are other forums for that.

Has nothing to do with Michael Moore, has everything to do with Healthcare in the US. My parents can't afford healthcare and it f*cking sucks..

Enjoy the weather in Canada and feel free to reply when you "think" you know what you're talking about here.

If you want to talk about the movie, talk about it. If you're planning on getting up on a soapbox and preaching, then do it somewhere else. That's not new, so everyone should know that already.

Re: Sicko (Michael Moore)

His best film to date, in fact, it's the only one with even one shred of truth to it. But, in true Michael Moore fashion, he takes an issue that everyone agrees is f'd up, like healthcare in America, and completly shows his one sided crap. You would think, by watching the movie, that Canada and Britian have NEVER had ANY problems whatsoever in the history of healthcare. He shows the best of the best in other countries, and the worst of the worst in America.

I completely understand if someone has a problem taking him seriously, based on his track record.

That said, healthcare is out of control in the States. I pay $860 per month to Blue Cross Blue Shield for my wife and I to have the privlage of only paying 20% of our medical expenses. That's right, they only cover 80%. It's insane. $860 per month man, that's 4-6 Jems a year!! And I STILL PAY 20% WHEN I GO TO THE DAMN HOSPITAL!!

So, I agree with the movie that there is a problem, but I'm not so sure about the Socialist solution.

Oh, and I just got a sweet PBK neck that I'm going to use on my Herc Fede swirled 777DY. had to throw in a Jem story, talking about Michael Moore puts me in a bad place

Michael Moore is an annoying prick, but he's on to something with this movie. I just saw it yesterday, and I walked out of the theater fuming.

Re: Sicko (Michael Moore)

The ONLY problem with healthcare industry is that corporate america has its hands in it. Back when I was younger insurance was cheap and companies offered to employees. Corporate america got involved and it needed more money for all the fat cats at the top and all the employees to find ways to deny claims, pay lawyers, bribe politicians and last but not least pay off the scummy stock market people. There is little money left after everone gets there piece of the pie for actual care. Corporate america caused this problem PERIOD!!!!! Companys like HCA (think bill frist) and companys like Health south (think Shusty) He made 100 million a yr plus for running that company in the ground. I know from personal expericnce about that company. My cousin was a CFO there under Shusty and there board romm went something like this...

Hey I want a raise! Ok if you vote me one I'll vote you one. Thats from 1st hand knowledge not just hearsay. She was in those meetings and was part of it. Corporate america has ruined healthcare and people think the only other option is socialist system. Corporate or Socialism not much of a choice if ya ask me.

And BTW Michael Moorer is foolish and one sided in his movies but I wouldbe too.

Re: Sicko (Michael Moore)

I wish michael Moore was as full of crap as everyone thinks. He is dead on with many issues. There are still talking heads in this country that say we have the best health care system in the world.

Re: Sicko (Michael Moore)

I haven't seen the movie, and I'm not going to believe everything Moore says, but I do know our system is pretty bad. It's going to be a long time until America has one of the best health care systems, we are pretty far behind. I think if America had less people on welfare, maybe the health care would be better. But at least the movie will spark reform, just give it a few years.
