I've bought like, 7 guitars in the last 4 weeks. There's no more guitar for me for a while.

Does is matter that her car is an '07 with less than 25,000 miles????

Beacuse if she earn't the money then let her, if you earn't the money then theres a problem.

How much is the car?
Im guessing $20 000+ , and you bought 7 guitars which is possibly worth in between $5 000 - $10 000.

Its easy tell her she can buy the car for (insert price here) but to make you happy you have to spend a total of that amount on new guitars and gear

.

So going off my estimates of (Her $20 000 car) and (Your $5000 worth of gear) YOU can spend up to another $15 000 on gear which will total the cost of the car.

So she gets a car and you get the same price in guitar gear.

So that way everyone is happy...............

Well in that context, it sounds like this is a revenge-car. I don't mean like in the movie Carrie or in that episode of Futurama where Bender became a ware-car and tried to kill everybody. I mean she's probably feeling a bit left out. 7 guitars is a lot in such a short time, and people get jealous when their partners spend a lot of time or money on their hobbies cos it makes them think "Why aren't I getting that much time spent on me?" (even if you're spending more time on them than the hobby).

I say let her get the car, and keep any new guitar purchases quiet for the next 6 months or so, and in the meantime take her on a holiday

Nothing, Is a 2007 Grand Prix GXP (32,000.00$ car) exactly what she wanted. Then we bought a house like, 3 weeks ago (move in on the 15th this month) and she'll get to decorate that completely. So, I spend some $$$ on new guitars and boom. All of a sudden she wants a new car. Hers is still BRAND NEW. Just paid them off. I might have messed up somewhere along the line that I just don't know about. And we don't really do that my money her money thing. It all just mingles into one bank account.
