Some photos......

Seeing as we're talking photography lately..... How's the exposure, saturation and contrast on these? My monitor is not calibrated.

Re: Some photos......

pics look very good....love cat pics & that one is great.

the flower pics exhibit what we are discussing in the other thread blowouts & WB issues. to the causal they really pop and look fantastic but then you process many photos and look at the total loss of detail in parts of the petals... glen

Re: Some photos......

The flowers were not overexposed when I took the shots. I brought them up to this level in Photoshop. I think I have a tendency to over brighten all my photos. Acording to my histograms they are not blown. But yeah there is not much detail in some of the white.
I have a wedding to shoot in a couple of weeks. I'm a little concerned about the all that white with the wedding gown and decorations and everything. White is hard to shoot.

Re: Some photos......

i was going to say they're somewhat overprocessed but i'm at work and dont fully trust the monitor. the first photo is a dead giveaway.

see the other thread about shooting white. what you don't want is a whole lot of poor photos due to bad metering off white that the camera is referencing as 18% grey then overexposing everything brighter than it... glen

Re: Some photos......

The shadow and midtone detail in the white flower looks fine to me. I don't see the burned down gray blue look of an overexposed image darkened in Photoshop. Good job.

Re: Some photos......

Tamron 75-300mm. Cheap lens, doesn't get much respect but I took some good pics with it. I just sold it to fund the Canon 70-200mm f/4L.

Re: Some photos......

I was going to start my own thread, but since this is a photo thread thought I'd share one I shot today on a nature walk.
I don't know anything about photography(as far as settings etc..) I just point and click. Its an older 3.2 megapixel camera too, so bear with.
