Spider Killing Spray Bombs?

I'm about to start putting together a recording studio in my shed for recording demos for my band and guitar tracks for my session work, but there is one problem with the shed. Spiders! Tons, no one has been inside the shed since it was built, about 10 years ago...

I am deadly afraid to go inside, my dad was just bitten by a Brown Recluse and the bite was so bad that he almost came to the point of amputation. I might just hire a service to get rid of them, but what about spray bombs that would kill them all?

How much do services cost, while I'm at it...

It's not cheap. A service call like that can cost about 500 bucks. That's how much a local pest control company whom I have a pest control contract with charged me to get rid of wasps in my storage shed. How big is the storage shed? If you decide to do it on your own, you might have to drop in a few bombs before going in there to spray stuff. When the whole process is done and the spiders are gone, you might want to examine every little crack and hole in that she to make sure that nothing is getting in through the gaps between the walls and roof and through any holes on the walls. If the shed is not on a suspended platform or floor like structure, it would be a good thing to get one to ensure that nothing is coming in from the ground.

Personally, if I were you, I'd call somebody to come and take care of the problem. If the storage unit is not worth the expense, look into getting a new one frmo places like costco or something.

It's definitely worth the expense, I think that if I can find someone to do it for me for under 400, then I'll do it. Second option would be to go to home depot and pick up some guys to do it for like minimum wage lol.

That's messed up,

Try calling some of the local pest control places, as they would charge you less that someone like home paramount or orkin.

I hope everything works out well and your dad feels better.

Oh he's fine now, but there is a huge scar the size of a quarter!

I know it sounds messed up, but thats how stuff is done in CA.

I will probably hire a local company to do it, I am afraid to do it myself lol.

Just hire somebody who knows what they're doing. But, this is coming from somebody who pisses their pants when they see a daddy long leg, so...

Anyways, just get all of tham killed/removed, then totally seal the shed off, so nothing can get in.

Re: Spider Killing Spray Bombs?

Go to your local hardware store, buy a 2 gallon pump sprayer and a big bottle of liquid SEVIN. It will kill everything in your shed. Spray around it and all through it, and you will never see another insect in there...I promise. One of the guys in my band owns a Pest control company and he swears by liquid sevin.. Good luck! ... Doing it this way will cost you about 40 bucks.

Re: Spider Killing Spray Bombs?

I used to have huge brown recluses in my old shed. I hated it, so I tore that sucker down! I've built a new, professionally done shed since then, but that will run you back at about $10,000.

I like spiders personally, but the brown recluse is no joke. Be careful you don't get bitten doing it yourself, but you can very likely do it yourself.

I'm not racist, I respect the fact that they risked their lives to find better work in the US. In my opinion it isn't fair that there is a what...10 year processing time?! I also don't think it's fair that they might take jobs away from legal American citizens, but maybe that is just showing that the citizens are charging too much...
