suits and artists unite..hehe
A friend of mine referred a client to me who needed audio work done. Being that I am temporarily working friday, saturday, sundays and mondays (four 10 hour days = suck) i decided to take it. He needed voice over work done so I drove out to their small company.
I brought my digital audio recorder by M-Audio and my nice Shure vocal mic on a stand. I didn't need that...I could have used the nice mic that came with the DAT recorder (uses sandisk from DSLR cameras and the audio quality is truly amazing!) i brought that other stuff for show...hehe. thought about bringing the remote pro tools setup but that's overkill.
Anyway, that audio client went very well. just got back home and i need to do the editing and then email them the mp3 today since their project is due later today. it sounded great and they were very impressed. they said they felt like they were in hollywood....that made me feel great. i loved it. i was only there an hour. i wish the biz would get growin' since i can't wait to do this full time! i gave him a few cards and he noticed we also do pro photography. he mentioned his wife is looking for a photographer since her co. does yearly events.....well there ya go!
i could do this all the time. i hate working for the man.
