Swine Flu, anyone else had it?

I can't totally confirm that I had the swine flu but when I spoke with my doctor over the phone last week, he said that every flu case he's seen recently has been the H1N1. My symptoms matched what it was supposed to be.
So, now that I'm on the upswing and back to normal life, has anyone else gone through it? For me, I was running a good high fever for 3 days and still had a slight fever for a fourth. Coupled with a nice hacking cough, I was stuck in the house recovering for about 5 days total. Still not 100% but I'm back at work today and feeling pretty good, aside from a little lethargy.

My older brother got it and recovered in 5 days. As far as hes concerned it was the same as a regular flu.

I had some flu about two weeks ago, and I'm betting it was probably H1N1. They aren't sending it to the CDC for confirmation anymore, so I'll never know. But whatever it was, it wasn't fun. Took me about five days to get over the immediate symptoms, but I am just now feeling completely normal.

Yeah, I've still got a lingering cough and am a bit tired but for the most part, it just felt like a normal flu. One reason I'm pretty sure this was swine since I never get the flu. Last time I got the flu was about 6 years ago (when I lived in Japan, SARS anyone?) and before that, when I was like 17 (over 10 years ago).

I'm fairly certain I'm just getting over it. No big deal. Give it 3 weeks or so and half the people you know will either have it or will have had it. Worse for kids than anyone else, but still manageable with Tylenol and chicken soup. Or Dayquil, chicken soup and Sprite, like they used on South Park to fight SARS

I got it earlier this year during our winter, when I went to the doctors he told me that most people with the flu this season had swine flu, it's just the strain that's getting around this year. Felt like every other time i've had the flu to me, except the antibiotics were alot more expensive.

Rock on!

Haha, the same thing happened to me as op, but I still wanted to get the vaccination and it made me just as sick as I already had been. But its not nearly as bad as everyone is blowing it up to be. Just get lots of sleep and try to sweat it out in a hot room

My son had it and my wife and I got a prescription for Tamiflu as a precaution. That drug is no joke. I was feeling nauseous and dizzy as hell.

I just tested positive for it today. Yeah it sucks. High fever, hacking cough...the usual. I just started tamaflu and hoping it works like a champ.

Make sure you take it with plenty of food. It lessens the nausea feeling but, you'll still feel dizzy for the first 3-4 days.

Re: Swine Flu, anyone else had it?

When the swine flu came out, I contacted the swine flu helpline, but all I got was crackling.

I had it, but then had ham flu, so was cured.

Re: Swine Flu, anyone else had it?

I had a fever of 100 on Halloween, didn't realize I may have been infecting everyone when I took my kids around. The next day the fever was still there, with a bad cough. My wife took me to Urgent Care Sunday night, and they said "you have the flu." I said "Is it the Swine Flu?" They said, "Probably, but we'd have to do more tests-which we aren't doing." So, I was out of work Monday and Tuesday waiting for 24 hours without a fever. It really wasn't that bad. I felt pretty bad Sunday, but Monday and Tuesday (and Saturday) really weren't that bad at all. Just scary, hoping my kids or pregnant wife didn't get it.

Yeah, I definitely have been eating my scooby snacks with the medicine. So far no nausea, knock on wood.
