Tendinitis

Just saw Dee's thread.... Do any of you have experience with tendinitis..

I have had it for almost a year and a half now, it was caused by a combonation of things ( excessive practicing, weight lifting, sparring )... i have found the best help for it is massage therapy.. it helps a lot.. the physio therapist i went to tried to focus on my joints WHICH IS NOT FIGHTING THE CAUSE OF TENDINITIS.. i stretch everyday ALOT.. especially b4 and after i play.. i also have started weight training again, only instead of doing power lifting, i am doing general muscle excercise for my bicep/ wrist, and triceps.. i wish i would have taken MR PETRUCCI serious when he told me to stretch b4 i practice. ..

does anyone else have it or have some advice.

You're on the right track here. I have had mild issues with tendinitis and carpel tunnel syndrome myself, mostly due to my day job which has me strapped to a desk & computer 8-9 hours a day.

Massage Therapy does help, and specifically the application of a technique called "Active Release". Ask around for a massage therapist that can do that. Its kinda painful, but it definitely helps.

Hell yeah, active release is nasty stuff, but one of the fastest ways to relieve the pain.
