The young ****y punks of today

This thread is not directed to all young male teens up through guys in their mid 20s. I know not all of them are like what I am about to describe. It is also not directed to a specific race...I see all races being this way. Guys...are you fed up with the way most young guys are acting today? I see my sister getting messages on myspace all the time from these guys without a shirt on and flexing in their pics. They refer to friends as homeboys. Instead of saying "hey whats going on?" they say "what up?" Their hats are on sideways and their pants are 1/2 way down their ass. They have no respect what so ever for women. Their arrogance is beyond belief. Guys that acted the way they do when I was their age got their asses kicked and were considered a joke. I've gotten to the point where I don't even like to go out to socialize because I get so irritated by them. My little sister who is 25 came over last night with this guy she is seeing and his friend and they were both like that. I wanted to wack them in the side of the head with my Les Paul. I heard one of them say under his breath to the other "this dude is stuck in the 80s" when they saw the guitars in my music room (the Kramer Hologrid, Gibson Les Paul Supreme, ESP Lynch Sunburst Tiger, and the Blue Floral Jem)....that set me off. I told them that those guys in the 80s had 10x the talent of any guitarist that has some out in the last 10 years and ironically enough the music they listen to was using the riffs from the songs "those 80s guys" wrote and played because the musicians of today are not talented enough to create their own. My sister had to basically run them out of the house after my wife told her that I was about to mop the floor with her friends. Punks! Grhhh! ok I've vented

Re: The young ****y punks of today

Believe me I know what you are saying, my friend has a fifteen year old son who him and his friends act and dress the same way. They try to act all tough and hard like they are from the hood or something.
Two of the guys I work with act/dress the same way too. I always make fun of them telling them they act just like some fifteen year olds I know
I really thought this pants hanging off your ass trend would be gone by now.
Of course they just think I'm weird!

Back when I used to bartend a few of those kids came in and started "actin the fool", so I had to boot them out. I was warned to watch my back, but when I told them there was no reason to wait, they didnt want to be tough anymore. I bet those chumps are the same way.

You should have smacked them in the head with that Les Paul and said
"Thats how I roll Bioootches"

I sure am glad I have a son who loves good music because he understands musicianship.

Re: The young ****y punks of today

Just a few more feeble minded kids raised on the garbage MTV and corporate top 40 radio has been feeding them. I see these jokers all the time, they're nothing more than followers who are to scared to stray from the norm (ie. popular) trends, and feel safe bagging on anyone who has any hint of individuality because they are all carbon copy sheep. I would have thrown them out as well. Tell your sister she can do better, and if they come back strap them down and put a good CD on repeat.

F**k them.

Re: The young ****y punks of today

Lynchy old boy, we need to talk. You have to think about this. That's YOUR little sister. It is your duty to slap the fck out of those kids and make sure she knows better than to give them her phone number let alone bring them to your house. You are supposed to protect her. My step dad laid down some ground rules when we were all kids, and I knew enough to not only live by them, but to enforce them if he wasnt around. Im sure you dont want to think about it, but what if one of those fools are nailing your sister, you can't jsut sit by and let that happen.
