Tips for Salt Lake City?

Another trip, and another request for my fellow Jemsiters! Anybody got any tips for things to see, good music stores to visit, good live music venues, etc. in Salt Lake City, UT?

You could try to time yourself and see how long it takes to get out of Utah. I bet it feels longer than the actual time it takes.

Re: Tips for Salt Lake City?

Utah is a very beautiful state! If you're into that kind of scenery / hiking thing (like I am) Arches National Monument and Brice Canyon are REALLY cool. (bring beer and a walk along cooler) Pretty much the whole state is cool along those lines and don't forget Lake Powell

In Salt lake City itself there are some pretty impressive sites such as the Tabernacle, etc.

And DON'T swim in the lake unless you want to suffer from very dry itchy skin syndrom for a week

As far as music stores, just look in the phone book when you get there

Utah is the most beautiful state in the US Mr. Cid!! If you'd get out of yourself for one second and try LOOKING at the sites around you may notice that and maybe the drive would be a bit easier

Well, while my wife IS insanely cool, I doubt she'd appreciate me bringing home that kind of souvenir.

Ahhh.....so she's not going with you???

Cat's outta da bag

Seriously, if you're into cool scenery at all, there is a lot to check out around that area. It's either that or go watch the Mormon choir
