Tough man

Hehe

So I went for a blood test at 6:30 AM this morning and, of course, I hadn't eaten in the last 12 Hours.

In goes the needle and out cold goes the 30 year old male.

Hahahaha. Completely owned by the needle. All I remember is coming to and hoping that I wasn't going to throw up...then I laughed, knowing that the lady in the waiting room saw the whole thing.

Fainting is weird.

Just thought I'd share

Cheers

Re: Tough man

Yes I had that once lol. She couldn't get enough blood of out one arm and kept swapping back and forth. As a kid, it was too much to take.

Re: Tough man

I'm lucky, I don't get spooked by blood, needles, etc.
When I was in Highschool one guy who was a big bragging tough guy on the football team did the same thing that Pat went through. Big talk about how a little needle doesn't scare him etc, and he passed right the F out. he was a little more humble for a day or two, but it was pretty funny to see this HUGE guy go down like Sunrise Adams at an audition.

I work at a level one trauma center and the only thing that spooks me is burn victims and when the skin is peeled off with the dermatomes...ICKY

Re: Tough man

Happened to me too.
Except it was after they were done. I got up to leave and I stopped at the window to give them my insurance card or something and all of a sudden my head felt tingly and everything seemed real bright in the room and I guess I turned pale. Kind of embarrassing. I had to sit for about five minutes.

Re: Tough man

Brutal dude!!! Everytime I get the needle they spend 10 minutes on finding a suitable vein. Last time I had two nurses (pretty) poking me over the place .

Regards

André

Re: Tough man

A guy I work with hates needles so bad that when he sliced his head open and needed suturing, he refused anesthetic. He got 8 staples in his scalp!!

Re: Tough man

ok...confession time.

i had a big wound in my leg. doctor suggested an injection to avoid any infection...i screamed like hell, and his assistant and my dad had to hold me so that doctor cud succeed in his evil plans. 3 patients left after hearning my screams. next day one of the workers renovating our house tell his peers..."i saw a grown up kid screaming like a pu$$y. i had to take my wife to a different doctor.".

I was in 10th grade.

Mmmm Sunrise mmmm.

I don't think I have a fear of needles, I just can't stand the sight of my own blood gushing out. On others no prob, but not MY blood.

I hope that this won't happen when i finally get my first Tattoo later this year.
