Trouble focusing

I've been having an terribly hard time focusing on school lately. I always seem to get sidetracked and I seldom sleep well. Dunno what's goin on lately, it's frustrating as hell.... Any suggestions?

Re: Trouble focusing

Stop looking at the girls tits and legs is a good start

Do you drink any tea or coffee within 4 hours of bed time? That can cause sleep difficulty in more ways than seem obvious.

Re: Trouble focusing

Take up jogging. That will help you sleep better and it will help with your focus as well! And yeah, it could be coffee too! hehe

Re: Trouble focusing

Hey man,

just to say how long has it been going on for? Sometimes if you not feeling too good your body (and mind) can cope with doing 'easy' things but when you push yourself you find it hard to cope if you have a little virus, or some sort of bug.....

Are you doing a decent amount of exercise, eating and drinking properley, is your guitar/study/family/work/social/girl friend (etc) life balance all okay?

Try looking at some of these little things...

Re: Trouble focusing

Maybe it's stress, that's causing the problem? Why not call in sick for a few days? And stay home and relax?

Ask your dad to give you a good ass kicking, it usually does the trick

+1

I used to be the worst student in the world. Then I got my ass whooped, and everytime I'd think about slacking, my ass would sting a little.

In all seriousness though, find a good stress reliever. For me, it's destroying stuff. Whether it be blowing stuff up with firecrackers or whatever. Just find something that you can just dump all your stress into, aside from playing guitar.

Re: Trouble focusing

Hmm, thanks for the advice guys. Maybe it is a lack of excercise. I don't drink anything with caffine after mid-day. Don't have much of a social life either.... Hmmmm. I guess there isn't an easy answer, it may be a lot of different things. Do keep the suggestions coming though.

Re: Trouble focusing

my solution to the school problem was to always have a look at the bigger picture, to see school/university as a means to an end, that end being getting a good job and buying lots of guitars ofcourse hard work always pays off in the long run, especially when the reward == sex with strings

A double Jamesons' 12 yr. on the rocks and a nice cigar after dinner is a good relaxer.

YMMV.

Re: Trouble focusing

I take St johns Wort for my madness. Stuff really works and its basically just a herb. Ive tried a lot of prescription crap but all of it made me feel more crazy. Stuff is about 10 bucks for a month supply and can be found just about anywhere. A particular brand called Natures Bounty seems to be the most potent and works the best. If that doesn't help, you probably just need some nookie.
