using ancient games on a fairly new pc
ok so im trying to play a game designed to run on win 95 or 3.1 and my laptop is on XP and when i try and do the auto install, absolutely nothing happens!
any pointers?

that's a sure-fire way to corrupt windows.
the most i'd recommend is try to run it from CD but DO NOT install
win 95 is 12 years old now... glen

you cant run it just from CD it seems.

Have you tried setting the compatibility to Win 95? Find the setup icon > right click > properties > compatibility.

if theyre old dos games, google "dosbox". otherwise google "(game name) windows xp comptaibility"
