Weird iPod problem

So, I'm in a funk mood, and I got the Best of the Commodores album and put it on my iPod. When I try to find the Commodores under "artists," it's nowhere to be found, and not under another artist (like Lionel Richie or something). But when I look for it under "albums," there it is...listed under the Commodores! Being a little OCD, I'd like to be able to find it under "artists" too...anyone know how to fix this?

I think you just need to tag it under "artist" in either itunes or in windows if you right-click on the songs and put "Commodores" in the "artist" line.

Re: Weird iPod problem

also, check to see if its tagged as a compilation. i have a couple of albums that were tagged like that, and they only showed if you went to albums or compilations. many times itunes sees a "best of" album as a compilation.

Re: Weird iPod problem

That's probably it. How could I change the compilation thing if that's the problem?

Re: Weird iPod problem

highlight the whole album in itunes. then right click and go to "get info". once that comes up, click on the tab that says "options". it should be the last one. once you are there, look for the one that says "part of compliation". put a check in the box and select "no". that should take off the compilation tag on that album.
