Re: What was your first electric guitar?

Mine was a beat to hell cream colored Guild S-60. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. My friend's dad had it sitting in the back of his closet. He said he didn't even remember where he got it from. I bought it off of him for fifty bucks and then took it to a guitar shop where they got it into working condition. I ended up trading it for a crappy Washburn superstrat thing. Biggest mistake of my life. I will own another one day. One day...

Sunn mustang, originally cream Seemed alright until I got my first Ibanez. Resprayed it blue. Can't play it now, it buzzes past 14th fret and high E is nearly off fretboard.

Re: What was your first electric guitar?

My very first was a Les Paul copy with a built-in speaker behind the bridge. It came from Sears. I broke my wrist just days before I received it and couldn't play it for three months due to my full cast.

My first "REAL" (decent) guitar came about a year later - a black Fender Squier Bullet - what I called a "baby Strat". Great guitar at the time. That was about 1984.

I only can remember my first e-guitar was a Framus with a lot of switches and a device for palm muting.

Re: What was your first electric guitar?

my very first was a very very old acoustic that belonged to my great grandfather. the strings were like barbed wire....and it still has those strings on it! my first electric was a HONDO that was a strat copy, all red with white pickguard. i loved this guitar! my dad made me return it since he found a "better one." it was CORT guitar, strat copy, all white with black pickguard, out of the sears catalog. i got a 50w gorilla amp with a TUBE CRUNCH dial on it.

Not really. I'm the only one with a drum kit, have a 1988 Tama Granstar but I can't set it up at home. It's too loud for the neighbours and there's no room for it here.

I had a Marlin Sidewinder (just a stright ahead Strat copy) in 1984. It sounded pretty bad, I seem to remember. When I got my Squier Katana (remember those!?) I threw the Marlin out of a bedroom window and it smashed.
