What was your first electric guitar?

Sorry if this question has been asked already!
Mine was a black Satellite Les Paul copy, bought in 1979 from a local tobacconists that also sold a range of cheap guitars.
The body was a sort of plywood although you couldnt tell because of the thick black finish, the neck was a bolt on but eventually had to be glued as the screws stripped the screw holes!
I later discovered that the covered humbuckers were really single coils made from a piece of bent metal shaped like a tent with a magnet on the bottom and polepiece screws in the apex!
I soon replaced the pickups with proper humbuckers which had the wires for coil tapping etc.
I spent many hours re-wiring the pickups so I could split any coil and have the pickups in or out of phase via mini switches.
I had a really rubbish plastic 10 Watt amp to plug it in and I later built my own fuzz box from a circuit from a book by RA Penfold called "Practical Electronic Music Projects (I Think!)

My first electric was a Hondo flying V. Plywood body. Sounded great and played great at the time I still think of her from time to time. You never forget your first...

Mine was a Fender Lead III. It was actually a very nice guitar, but it was heavy as hell. I still have it, but it's gutted right now , and needs to be refretted.

Anyone ever heard of a LaGrange Ranger Deluxe made by a company called Texas Guitars. It was metallic red and gold hardware, i loved that thing... Wish i could buy it back, just for the memories !!

Re: What was your first electric guitar?

I've only been playing for about 3-4 years so I got into it just as the Squier craze was taking off, so I had a red Squier Strat, complete with the 15 watt practice amp =) I got it from my dad(my parents are divorced) for Christmas.

Re: What was your first electric guitar?

the very first electric guitar that entered my place was my brother's RS530:

she got me hooked on Ibanez and started my "tech" interest on guitars (used to tinker her while bro wasn't home ).

but my very first own guitar was a Pre-RG RG410:

still so in love with her...

Re: What was your first electric guitar?

Mine was a Columbus tele.I got it from the brother of a girl I really liked.
It was just as G n' R were getting big and I wanted to be Slash. The way she descibed it,it sounded like an LP so I had to get it.When I went over to her house to pick it up I saw what it was,but as I really liked her I had it anyway!
After that I got a Kramer XL2,what a load of crap! Still have it though 16 years later
