What's with the Advertising????

Before I get "bitchy" because I'm a paid subscriber I though I'd ask those that know, Why do I keep getting full page pop-up advertising and some sort of scrolling/traveling ad across my screen? This has happened about 8 times since yesterday. The full page ad wont let me close it for 10 seconds......it's kinda pissing me off. Is there something I missed in the user CP to turn off advertising??

Ryc

Re: What's with the Advertising????

It's been happening to me since last summer, for what it's worth.
It first started with small ads at the top and bottom of pages, then yesterday began with the screen-intruding and scrolling ads.
I never had these ads before becoming a contributor last year, either. At first, the stationary ads didn't bother me--but these new ones do. I understand Ryc's frustration.

Re: What's with the Advertising????

OK...I just got it again....a full page ad for "Intercontinental hotels and Resorts". (It's now on the scrolling banner in the upper right corner, where it belongs) I cannot close the window for a minimum of 10 seconds, nor can I navigate around/away from it. I HAVE to look at it for 10 seconds.

this is getting highly annoying.........

I keep getting these, too!
The really irritating one is the big red scrolling arrow!
