Re: What's everyone do for a living?

Recent college graduate with a BA in Communication Arts, emphasis in Graphic Design. I do freelance jobs in Print and Web design... I specialize in packaging, web design, and motion for "corporate" designs although my personal stuff is the opposite - loud and chaotic. I got contracted through my instructor as a Flash developer a couple weeks after graduation. The company who hired me does the visual marketing + campaigns for most of the major Japanese car companies (mainly Toyota )... the job mainly consists of designing, animating, and programming "quizzes" in Flash for Sales Reps to obtain their certificates. The project i'll be working on for the next few weeks is for the '08 Prius.
The job is chill as I get to browse the 'net and daydream (and actually buying) my next gear purchase(s) when i need to "think" how to program a certain function; even got paid to surf the 'net for a couple days cause the team I was working with finished the job 4 days before deadline. I'd love to work doing website redesign for companies in the music industry (like Ibanez's website per se) but my unattachment to cars will make me concentrate at work more...
in the meantime, I need to look around for early-mid 90's RG's and S's.

Structural Engineering Intern. For the last several months, I've been working on New Orleans. We've been designing new pump platforms and steel gate dams to get water outta the canals more quickly and to prevent Lake Ponchartrain (spelling?) from backing up into the canals that failed.

I'm currently an ICT Technician. Haven't been doing it long, and just hoping to get some training and experience behind me (as I'm only 20yrs old). Then I can maybe go onto somewhere else and possibly start an OU Degree next year whilst I'm working.

If anyone's still interested in the OP's question, I am a freelance professional musician (violinist). Some of my jobs this involves are:
Teaching violin in schools and privately
Freelance recording work
Function and corporate work with my quartet
Conductor/coach for local and county youth orchestras and string groups
Composer and arranger
I'm also on the Board of Directors for the borough provider of instrumental tuition and allegedly (!) Head of Strings for the borough music service

I'm a student. During summer breaks I end up with bits and pieces of work like labouring or cleaning or packing. Haven't been given much work this summer though, partially due to my laziness.
