Are you at UCG? My wife is a UCG grad.
I work for a large computer manufacturer in their managed services division (think outsourced IT). I'm head of Americas regional IT Support and global head of problem management at an international investment bank.

I can't really talk about anything other than the lastest to be declassified which is the X43A. You can google "experimental aircraft" and you'll see some stuff that's extremely similar to what I'm working on.
But I also work on more than just aircraft. The technology can be applied to aircraft, missiles, anything that needs to be flown at a high rate of speed, i.e. greater than Mach 5.
Right now I'm working on the next version of the X43A - external aero and engine design.
I guess I can mention that I'm working on the next vehicle to take a few people to the moon.
LOL. Well, I don't work
for
NASA, but I do work with them, and occasionally we get paid by NASA to do some stuff. Most of our money comes from the Air Force, Navy, DOD, and some other 3 letter agencies.
I think the next Anniversary Jem should be coated in Radar Absorbant Materials (RAM) and have unusual alien symbols as inlays. And of course, Vai can supply the weird alien symbols. Rumours would float around for 10 years before the real operational Secret Jem would be revealed to the public. Courtney could show it to us, but then she'd have to kill us.

And they could charge 10,000.00$ for it too!

I'm secretly working for Ibanez and building the next Anniversary Jem right now - the Power Jem.
I'm making another, same guitar, for Steve and it will have the alien symbols in it.

I'm the head of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for a medical device company.
Years ago I was a roadie (a complete nobody, nothing special) but I got to meet some great people.

Re: What's everyone do for a living?
Wow, a lot of very cool jobs in here!
My job sounds a lot cooler than it is. Plus, long days sometimes.
I blow things up. We actually shot a bridge today, and I just got back to the office, it's 5:30 PM.
But we had to be on-site at 4:00 AM.
But... it's an hour and a half drive, so I had to get up at 2:00 AM and drive there. That's a long day, and not always a lot of fun! So that's a 15 1/2 hour manual labor day? I'm not very good at math right now...

Blowing things up is cool. When we're testing medium voltage motors and press the "Button" and a 12ft diameter plasma ball shoots out after the explosion, it's pretty cool!

Re: What's everyone do for a living?
^^^ That is a cool job!! If I could blow stuff up every once in awhile, I'd probably never get angry or depressed!
Oh wait! I'm a spy. I do get to blow things up from time to time.
hehehe

Re: What's everyone do for a living?
Just like every job, some of our jobs are really cool, some are not and are really miserable.
Today wasn't bad, I just don't like getting up at 2:00 AM to go to work!
Here's a picture for you guys (and gals...)
