What's everyone do for a living?
A question I get asked frequently and often wonder about other people too! So, what do you guys do to finance your Ibanez funds? I'll start!
I'm currently a mechanical engineer/designer for LeTourneau Technologies. I'm currently the lead designer/engineer for the Direct Drive (top drive) motor units. Basically what we do is design new age drilling motors powered by AC electrical current. We design everything in Inventor 2008 Pro and then run FEA's in ProE engineering program. To give an idea of the power of some of these motors, we're currently working on a motor that will (theoretically, by electrical and magnetic data) produce up wards of 245,000 ft-lbs of torque at 183 rpm. To give you an idea of the size of these things here's a picture of our 750TON AC drilling motor that we finished this February. It tested at 129,000 ft-lbs of max torque and was on display at the Houston OTC show. It's about 30-35FT tall in the dolly! It's quite impressive stuff!
So, what do you do??

LOL. It's interesting! 80-90 hours a week is always cool, but it's interesting to say the least! I actually rather like my job, just sometimes the stress gets to you.
My mothers ex-husband was an IT Director for Randalls here in Houston. Good lord that job almost killed him, but they paid him handsomely for it!

Actually it is for me too, money is terrible, which is why I didn't let go of my current job.
