Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
Not sure mate, but I think Virgin was offering one of the best packages last time I thought about moving from Tiscali. Btw, still with them! I'm such a lazy ****er!

Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
Until recently, I've had a really ****ty connection, where it kept on disconnecting me from the net every couple of minutes. Tiscali blamed my BT line. Called out BT, they blamed Tiscali, just the usual bollocks!
Connection is fine now. Not sure what they did to fix it, in fact not sure who fixed what!!

Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
Just don't go AOL.
I'm on AOL, 4mb/s, but I get alot of downtime. Usually it starts around 6pm and starts working about 5am. AOL say they don't know what's wrong.
When we first went on AOL, we had issues with the modem they supplied. When we got a new modem we were disconnected every couple of minutes.
No end of problems with them. AOL = Always Off Line

Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
The Sky package is something I might consider as well. Especially as I am subscribed to the full movie/skysports package already.

Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
Gurj, I am with Sky TV with full package and when I spoke on the phone yesterday they mentioned a few offers for already Sky Customers. Free broadband for 2 months, then TV/Broadband/Phone at half price for 4 months.

Re: who is the best and cheapest broadband
Yeh, I got something in the post a couple of weeks ago from Sky saying something on those lines. At the moment I just can't be bothered to pick up the phone, subscribe with Sky and cancel my Tiscali contract
As I said, lazy ****er!

My neighbours the same! It's amazing how many unsecured wi-fi connections my laptop detects when I'm working around the country!
