Wii Wireless Connections

Now that my house is able to have wireless connections the wife wants to hook up her Wii to it. Gonna do that tomorrow but has anyone else done it and any tips or tricks to doing that with a Wii?

Re: Wii Wireless Connections

Really very simple. So simple that there's really no tips one can give. It works great. It also opens up a whole other set of possibilities for the wii like virtual console, internet channel, and the upcoming wiiware, which looks quite promising. You should be able to set it up if you just go into the menu and add the connection. If you've set up a password you'll have to put that baby in. Aside from that it's easy-peasy.

Only the 1st wep key will work for the wii. It took me hours of troubleshooting it to figure that out.

Re: Wii Wireless Connections

Sometimes you may have to reset the wireless router. Just unplug it wait for a minute or two then plug it back in. The Wii is pretty good at connecting though. I usually have an easier time with it then some of our computers.

Re: Wii Wireless Connections

There really is no advice to give ya.

It's so utterly simple. It probably takes 3-4 minutes, tops.

If you need any help, you can PM me. I use the Wi-Fi connection on my Wii all the time. MOH:H2, Internet Browser, etc.

Naw we got it pretty easy. Just wish the Wii had a keyboard. Typing the access key with the remote was a PIA. I just wish they had a game I used to play in the arcades called Foodfight.

Actually, if you plug a USB keyboard in, you can type with it.

I use a wireless Logitech keyboard, and I browse the internet with it all the time.

Works really well.

It's basically like turning your TV into a big computer.
