Woman pregnant with 18th child

Did anyone else read or hear the story about the couple in Arkansas who are expecting their 18th child?

My wife told me about it this evening, and sure enough it was on the news.

Is it just me, or is that a bit excessive. There is no way that these people can afford to take care of all of these children unless they are rich.

I would say, no matter what dont let these people have any government assistance, but it would be the children who would suffer and I'm not that cruel.

If I am looking at this wrong, please let me know.

Man- these guys are on TV all the time. This is what they do- it's like their full time job.

I love how they name all their kids with a "J". I can think of something else this guy should do that starts with "J"...

There have been shows about them on The Discovery Channel. They are completely self-sufficient and don't worry, they don't take any government handouts. Heck, they don't even go to public schools (they're home schooled). The parents are doing a better job at raising 17 (now 1 children than most parents do at raising 1 child. If they want to have 19 kids and can do it all by themselves, then more power to them I say. From everything I've seen about them, all the kids are going to grow up and become outstanding citizens which we always need more of.
