I think its only the fact that he's playing in Bars and Nightclubs that is really stirring the debate, do you really think this would get the same attention if he was being paid to play in, say Toys-r-Us?

The Toys-r-Us Blues Jam?

He could play all he wanted in public as long as it's not a paid gig. If he really loves just to play, he doesn't need the paycheck. He can suffer through that when he's an adult.
