IMO........that Alpha is HIDEOUS,the BMW ain't nothing special (overgrown MX-5), Ferrari ain't made a truly stylish car for years ( Enzo Ferraris death meant Fiat took majority ownership AND IT SHOWS......IMO, all went pear shaped since the likes of the 328/288/F40 IMO
, likewise Lambo haven't made a truly attractive car IMO since the Countach (Diablo sucked in comparison,Diablo replacements look like f**ked up Diablo's), I have NEVER liked Porsches, and Astons ain't what they were.
And besides, most of these ain't your common run of the mill stuff, and are WAY beyond me ever affording to buy them.
Oh, and by the way........thats just IN MY OPINION!!!! Other people can like what they want

Re: Wow new Dodge Challenger
I like the looks of the new Challenger, very clean looking and grounded in its roots. As far as the tail light...alot of the older muscle cars had similar rear end styling, makes sense the new ones would too.

That would be cool.I like the new Challenger, but like i said near the start i'd prefer a 1970 one.I LOVE that era of American cars and my 2 favourite production cars of all time would be a '70 Challenger and a '68 Charger ( a black R/T as in Bullitt
)
Of course,if i had a lot of money to spend on a car,i would love to have an original Charger Daytona or Plymouth Superbird

As far as the imports vs muscle cars... I did a frankenstien:
87' Toyota P/U with a High Performance Chevy 350 mated to a Turbo 350 tranny.

Lol, yeah. I don't own her anymore. (thank god with gas prices now)
I would constantly have people at stoplights asking me what Engine I had in there..reminded me of the commercial "That thing got a HEMI?"

You think th Brera is hideous????..... well YOU DON'T like Ferraris, Lambos, Aston Martins BUT you DO LIKE your dads Transam.... enough said.
I guess you REALLY have (thank god) YOUR OWN TASTES.....
Since you already admited that your posts were based on looks rather than performance (even when you talked about performance), and since your "taste" was made clear in your last post, I guess there is no point to discuss with you any further.
Here's the good news, when you are old enough to get a drivers licence you will be able to afford your dreamcar right away! I guess there's allways a bright side to look at.

Re: Wow new Dodge Challenger
And about Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo being owned by Fiat.... yeah their new designs really suck:
Alfa Romeo...
Maserati...
Ferrari...
I guess it really sucks to have to deal with FIAT management. I mean, so much compromise in design and performance...
I guess thats why Ferraris racing tradition was so hurt in the recent years....
I'm sorry, I get your point but that's exactly why I can't restrain myself of making fun of your comments!

Re: Wow new Dodge Challenger
Can you read???????????
Find MY post where I say my dad had a Trans Am?????????????? He never has,i guess you should go back to reading classes at school
(or are you still at school?).
And by the way i've had my drivers license for 17 years.
I don't like ANY Alfa Romeo's.That Ferrari TO ME is a dog compared to an F40 ( now that was a supercar), I do like the Maserati in the middle, but is it in production?? And if so at what price??? Comparing "supercar" performance (cars like tens or hundreds of thousands pounds) with "affordable" cars is BS anyway.
I like a lot of OLD Ferraris,OLD Astons, modern car design doesn't appeal to me.My choice but you can't accept that.
All i have done is state MY opinion and i wasn't abusive. If you want to take the p*ss i don't care,i'm big enough and man enough to take it but AT LEAST get your facts straight first.

Re: Wow new Dodge Challenger
Eh, ok, I havn't been driving long... but I don't see the point in super-OMFG-WHEEE-performance cars. Must be nice to own, and maybe they are nice to drive, (I wouldn't really know; I've only really run round in an Aston, a newer Bentley and a 1970s Stingray) but doesn't a Ford Focus, etc do the same job? Just takes a little longer to get to 80. I guess if you can afford the car, you can probably afford the higher maintenace costs, tax, petrol, and the odd speeding ticket.
To be perfectly honest, I did enjoy driving the Stingray, it was alot different to what I'm used to - (a new Fiesta - ha) but I cannot fit 2 guitars, a Laney head a 2x12 and an 8
space rack
in it - I think. Can't say I've tried.
The new Challenger does look kinda cool, just not practical for me I guess. (Perhaps a pickup is?
)

The Maserati is in production, and its a new design that came up under the management of thosre morons from FIAT, just like the Enzo or the 8C. As you said.... IT SHOWS.
Sorry I confused you with some other guy that was crazy about his dads Transam. Nevertheless, If you don`t like tha Alfa Romeo 8C or the Ferrari Enzo.... well, I think thats the end of it.
BTW the Brera doesnt cost houndreds of thousends, nor does the Audi TT, the Z3, Z4 or Porsche Boxter neither of which you seem to like.... You d rather take a 2000 Mustang GT?
Everybody is entitled to have its own taste. BTW the F40 is hardly an "old" Design. Its just the ugliest Ferrari could come up with since the 50s (with exception of the Daytona).

Re: Wow new Dodge Challenger
I think that this is a very interesting thread.
Personally I don't really like American cars. From what I can see and have experienced, cars made for the Euro/Uk/Jap market do seem more refined, and perhaps better engineered than the cars I have seen from the US. Saying that a buddy of mine had a Dodge Ram that cost him £15000 and it could annihilate Porches without any kind of problem. Seriously fast acceleration. However a friend of mine had a BMW 330d m-sport (3 litre diesel with sports package), and I have never driven a car that could even come close to the quality of that. Apart from the build quality, this thing could drive like a supercar, and when you back off and put it cruise control you would get 55-60 m.p.g. easily. I'll take a bit of blandess if I can have huge performance and economy in the same package.
Saying that it seems that the majority of people from the States like their cars, and they obviously do the job that is expected of them. The US car industry obviously knows its market and builds suitable cars. You can't really argue with that.
I pretty much prefer to buy Jap or German. I have driven loads of vehicles over the years (from mopeds to lorries to top of the range beamers) and those two manufacturing countries seem to do it pretty well for my money.
The Dodge Challenger does look seriously cool though, and it is good value for money.
