Andy chose UPS at + $170, in addition he's looking at 24% of $2000 plus UPS brokerage, usually about $60. It's still a very reasonable price to pay for a JEM, but it's definately no freebie at over $700
Its deffinately a reasonable price for a Jem
It would cost a few hundred £££ for me to get a 555 new here
(not that i would have bought a 555, just to give some perspective).
Either way, ive had a stupid grin on my face all weekend

Yeah I'll bet you've been wearing one helluva grin.
Good on ya!
I bet you can't wait to get your hands on the guitar. The wait must be agony.
You made a wise decision. My 7VWH is hands down the best major purchase i have ever made (excepy perhaps my air ticket to Japan, but even that's a close run thing). And for 400 quid you can't grumble. Really chuffed for you mate.
Wayne.

Re: Writing Contest #2 - "JEM GIVEAWAY" discussion
You know, if Rich could scare up an LNG for that price, that might make a nice prize as well.....I'd take a slightly used LNG over a Bad Horsie. It's all good, though!

Will this 2nd contest make us "site contributors?"

we can take this to PM, but "contributors" are reserved for the few who helped contribute with no strings attached (nor $3000 prizes dangled)

Re: Writing Contest #2 - "JEM GIVEAWAY" discussion
It's no biggie. I've been meaning to send in $20 for it, but have just put it off. I'll probably send it in when contest #2 starts.

Re: Writing Contest #2 - "JEM GIVEAWAY" discussion
I was one digit off, but I'm glad a non-Jem owning Jemster won the guitar as I have 3. If I do win, I would like to auction it off again if Jemsite is okay with that for no more than $1500. As a Jemster would get a break on a Jem & I could sure use $1500. And the reason I would do this is because I don't want a VWH & I just purchased a BRMR & I'm getting it customized with chrome pups & knobs like another that was posted here before.

Re: Writing Contest #2 - "JEM GIVEAWAY" discussion
Yeah, but can we do a sub-Jemsite auction on Jemsite if a Jemster wins a prize like I described.
