Xbox360 - Petition for Keyboards+Mouse :D

Right guys, a few of you will know that the Xbox360 will be coming out around November time (in the UK anyway, not sure about US).

Right well if you're a gamer, and particularly fond of First Person Perspective games, (the likes of Counterstrike, Unreal, Halo) etc then you'll be familar with using a keyboard and mouse combination to move around in the game.

Microsoft are making a keyboard and mouse available for Xbox360, however, it will not be useable for games, so you'll still have to use a pad

I like gaming but I wonder why design a keyboard and a mouse for the xbox and not to be able to use them with the system for gaming....

You can network it and use it like a media center and stuff so a mouse is quite handy, and i presume the keyboard is for the online capabilities.

Yes I know bout that... It's just that might as well design it to be able to play with it instead doing online stuff

I can see why they dont allow it for games. MS have been trying to keep away from traditional pc stuff when dealing with the xbox, however yeah, i love first person games and would always prefer a keyboard and mouse combination. Saying that, halo works fine on xbox, as does doom3, and its pretty easy to get the hang of using a pad. It would be usless for multiplayer online though, as its just not as fast as a keyboard and mouse!

i signed it for you but with xbox live this poses a large problem... you'd have to magically a connected keyboard/mouse and limit matches where keyboard users never play against pad users... glen

Nah, if you play with a keyboard and a mouse, then it is your choice so you can get your butt kicked by the controller users and you deserve it :P

Before signing a petition for keyboard/mouse option, you should be able to have 1 model for the 360 (not 2 with different price ranges) as well a STANDARD save option (not a 40$ extra cost).
