Zero hardrive space!
I currently have zero bytes free on my hardrive.
Every time I clear up
space
it somehow all gets used
really fast
for
some
thing. But I don't know what that is.
One time I had
1GB
of space free and in a few days it was all gone. I'm referring to my C: drive, btw. I've also got a D: drive on which all my temporary internet files go and the bulk of my programs.
Why is this, do you think? Could I have some kind of virus on my
computer
?

Re: Zero hardrive space!
I just managed to clear up a measly
3MB
of space. I went to
Start
then
Run
and typed 'Temp'. And then I erased everything in the folder as much as possible.
I'm all out of ideas now.

Do you have CCleaner or Tuneup Utilities? These programs help you eliminate all unnecesary files in your pc, and they come with a lot of useful tools too.

Mmm... I think they only offer trial versions for free in their webpages. But you can get the full version for free if you search on the internet. If you want, I can give you the links to download the full versions, but they're in spanish

That's OK that they're in Spanish. I'd love to have the links, Mr. Killer.

Re: Zero hardrive space!
OK I'll give you the links to a webpage where people can download many things.
Tuneup Utilities:
http://www.taringa.net/posts/downloa...2009-Full.html
(the link to the download is at the end of the post)
CCleaner:
http://www.taringa.net/posts/downloa...ol---Full.html
(just click on "Descargar", and it will take you to the Megaupload webpage, where you can download the program)
If you need any help, just let me know. I hope you find these programs useful.

You can use that to find out where all your space is going, kind of nifty.

How many restore points do you have? That will eat up hard drive space fast.

Re: Zero hardrive space!
I've already erased those. Here's what I've also tried:
- Erased temporary internet files.
- Had the browser store the temporary internet files on the D:\ drive instead.
- Right clicked on the HDD icon and cleaned up the disk.
- Went to 'Start' then 'Run' and typed 'Temp'. Then subsequently erased everything in that folder.
I'm seriously considering replacing the C:\ drive altogether with one with more space. It doesn't cost much and it's worth it. Maybe I can put in some extra RAM while I'm at it.

Re: Zero hardrive space!
Maybe you need a HD with more storage capacity.
I can't really help, other than
www.ccleaner.com
also works.

Yeo, that's it really. The only other thing to try is a complete re-format and reinstallation

Re: Zero hardrive space!
Laptop or Desktop? Just buy an additional one, then put music and vids on the larger one. It will be quicker too as its newer so may even stream faster than your current one!
