Re: 5 Way Switches

On what guitar?
If its strat style, or Ibanez, my favorite is the middle and neck single coil, would that be number 2?

Question

Re: 5 Way Switches

I'm thinking from the top down; and I know dif 'tars have diff pups, but both my Fender Am Deluxe and my Universe seem to like the #2 setting. I don't know why, thought this poll might show a mysterious trend......

Re: 5 Way Switches

bridge humbucker when dirty, position 1 round from bridge humbucker when clean (this is ibanez wiring on an HH guitar!!), unless im doing some speed picking, in which case i use neck pickup as it gets rid of the annoying pick sound a lot

Re: 5 Way Switches

5 for me, but it really depends on what you're playing.
For solos I normally use 5 but when doing some rythm I use 2 or 3. I use 1 when soloing at 19-24 fret (not always) and 4... can't remember last time.

Re: 5 Way Switches

Naturally 5. But for clean tones, my S 7420 sounds the best at 2 as with my PWH and 7620. I chose 2 because lately, I've been using it the most. It sounds good.

Re: 5 Way Switches

Believe it or not, I have had my UV777BK since sunday, and last night was the first night i played it straight thru the amp w/o processing...Man, was shocked at the different tones this thing generates through those Blazes! I am gonna have some big fun.. 2 is still the warmest, jazziest tones I could hope for...
