Alcohol?

The dope thread got me thinking. What kind of alcohol do you guys like to drink?

I'm a rum guy...
By myself Bacardi 150

With my wife Captain Morgans Pirate Bay

Also Yukon Jack (all the flavors)

I Dislike beer, like wine, but back in the day it was anything. When I was dirt poor it was MD 2020...

I used to have friends, that I drank with back in the day, come over and try to get me to go out drinking. I was married with kids and a mortgage. I'd tell them if we go out we'll spend $300.00 easy or we can spend $50.00 on a couple bottles and some chips and hang at my place. It's amazing how priorities change when you have real bills...Plus if they were too drunk to drive they could crash at my place, and I didn't have to worry about my moron friends killing anyone...

^^
This has been asked a while back, before.

Having said that, I don't drink any alcohol at all.

That's cool, man. I think the choices in the poll differ, somewhat, too.

Re: Alcohol?

Not a big drinker anymore, but we do have a stocked liquor cabinet for those occasions we entertain. But I still like a ice cold beer with my raw oysters! A nice dark rum every once in a while, or even a glass of Baileys, brandy, or cognac.

We've got a few bottles of wine but that's the wife's preference.

As far as the tequila.... well it's in the cabinet, but that's been banned from large get togethers. Just too many wild things seem to happen after the shots get to flowing!

Re: Alcohol?

Rum, eh? I tried that once in combination with Coca-cola. The taste was alright, I guess. If it wasn't for the alcohol.

I do like chocolates that have rum in them, though.

That, to me, is just about the foulest drink and food imaginable!

Re: Alcohol?

Never been much of a drinker. I have only been drunk four times in my life and the forth time was enough.

Myst..... Man you're just missing out! But that's OK, just leaves more for me!

Nothing better than a 50 LB sack of fresh Apalachicola oysters on ice, a box of saltines, and a bottle of Crystal hot sauce along with a cooler full of iced down Coronas'! That and a beautiful sunset on the beach! Life doesn't get much better....

Count me in, that sounds awesome...except for the beer.

I can't afford to drink (not financially). I'm one those people that just can't handle alcohol. I turn into an instant a$$hole. It's like jeckle & hyde. I got into a lot of trouble when I younger. It was not pretty.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Carry on.

Hey the professional drinker drinks way past good taste, vomits, cleans it up, goes to bed, and prays it's not a school night for his kids...
