Re: Best Ever Guitar Movie?

I remember my mother taking me to see Crossroads in the theater, I think it was in 1985. That was the start of all the guitar insanity for me. That year I got my first electric guitar. It was an electric blue Aria Pro 2. It felt like it weighed about 50 pounds! Last Christmas I got the movie on dvd for Christmas. A small part of me still wants to be as cool as "Jack Butler".

Re: Best Ever Guitar Movie?

Jack Butler is the coolest ever. total rockstar. that movie is what did it for me. it is the best ever, and not just cuz vai was in it. it revolves around music and dreams and taking the long hard road to get there. wayne's world, to me, is not even considered a guitar movie??? bill and ted (the first one) is 2nd to me. how about the first crow movie with brandon lee? he was in a band and the music was good. that's more of a guitar movie than wayne's world.

Re: Best Ever Guitar Movie?

I know this movie isn't a guitar movie either...but I love the opening scene in "Back to the Future" when Michael J. Fox is standing in front of that giant amp with one of those tiny travel guitars and he gets blown away! Even better is when he does that freak out solo during Johnny B. Good. I think he was also in another band movie called "The light of Day".

Re: Best Ever Guitar Movie?

It has to be Crossroads because of the duel. Although the rest of the movie is totally lame.
