Best Guitar Partnership

O.k so who's the ultimate dual guitar line-up ..

some of my contenders ..

Glenn Tipton/KK Downing
Dave Murray/Adrian Smith
Scott Gorham/Gary Moore
Jason Becker/Marty Freidman

.. I've just realised how many bands i like who have 1 guitarist, i'm all in favour of the mono guitarist tis hard working among fellow axemen

Re: Best Guitar Partnership

Assuming only those available on record (leaving out jams & live supergroup pairs like Vai/MacAlpine or Vandenberg/Campbell in Whitesnake)...

Don't forget Brad Gillis/Jeff Watson
Pete Willis/Steve Clark (or Collen/Clark)
Micky Moody/Bernie Marsden
Tom Scholz/Tom Scholz/Tom Scholz/Tom Scholz/Tom Scholz/Tom Scholz...

The ones that influenced me most were the Priest boys, though they weren't the most technically capable in the list.

Al DiMeola & Paco DeLucia could play circles around all the aforementioned joes.

Re: Best Guitar Partnership

Not the tidiest or most technical playing in the world , but I have a special fondness for Smith/ Murray. I still enjoy the Powerslave album now.

I'll go with Dave "Snake" Sabo & Scotty Hill from Skid Row. I really liked that band!

Warren is a bad bad man, have you picked up "The Deepest End" yet? the DVD is great. Forgetting James and Kirk is easy, see: St Anger.

+1,00000,00,0,00,0,000,00,0,00,

My favourite guitar duo. They compliment each other so well and never trip on each others toes.

If it weren't for Skid Row I probably wouldn't of picked up the guitar (or at least I wouldn't have until much later.)
