'Best Guitar Solo' (sorry!)

Looked through the poll index, couldn't find this poll, maybe it's been deleted. *bad omen* I've listed a few solo's, just to see what everybody likes. I guarantee ther'll be more you like which I havn't mentioned, so sorry in advance!

I went with Sweet Child cos that's the only solo on the list that i know. How 'bout Steve Vai's solo in Whitesnake's The Deeper The Love? That's my favorite.

Of all the solos on the list my fave is probably Comfortably Numb. Awsome tone and loads of feel in that one.

Fave of all time is probably EVH's solo on Jacko's "Beat It". That opening note rulez!!

Well, i went with Wholla Lotta Love, but it's funny that although artists are right i always prefer different solos by them,

From Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower

And other favourites:
Cream - Crossroads
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing

i would have to agree with this too.

there are so many great solos out there in the world. "for the love of God" by Vai of course...those bubbling warm fast notes towards the end!!!

and i really love the FX steve stevens gets on the solo for jacko's "dirty diana." the siren-like sound.

I would have listed Alex Skolnick's in "Return To Serenity".....but, sticking with the choices available: Mr. Gilmour gets my vote.

Gotta agree with most (if not all) of the suggestions being offered. There's so much good guitar out there!

Btw, did you know that Paul Gilbert's solo in 'Addicted to that Rush' has his fastest recorded solo? There's a 18.5 note per second flurry/run in it.

From the list I chose Comfortably Numb.
I would also like to add George Lynch's in "All I Need" by Lynch Mob.
