Best Wireless Provider?

Trying to get a new phone and was wondering which service provider was better? Verizon or Cingular. I'm currently with Verizon right now and getting a new phone, the LG Chocolate, but everything else would remain the same. I also have the option of going with Cingular but face losing my current phone number [which is a shame because my cell number only has 4 different digits that make up my cell number].

I don't have any problems right now with Verizon other than the fact that I get no reception by my house, text messages take awhile to send, phone calls have a short delay before dialing, and it is sometimes distored. I'm not sure about Cingular and their reliability.

For what it is worth, I have used AT&T (turned into Cingular) for over 6 years without any real issues. However, I think all cell companies pretty much blow for service. I have considered changing in the past, but I am always afraid it could be worse.

Although I don't have it, I have heard many great things about Verizon!
