Re: Do you guitars have different string gauges?
Most have 10's, but my strat sometimes gets 11's for those SRV moments or down tuning, and I have an RG that usually has girly 9's on it.

10s across the board for all electrics. 10s also for the 12-string acoustic, 12s for the 6 string acoustic

Re: Do you guitars have different string gauges?
I have guitars with different string gauges, but only because they are tuned differently. The different gauges I use keep a pretty even tension on all my guitars.

I started using 9-46 on my Explorer a while ago but it's a pain having to buy spares for 2 different gauges so went back to the "girlies"

Once you reach puberty you'll find that you've become man enough for the 10s - you may even get hairs on your chest
More seriously, I've been using 10s for so long now on my main guitars that I find 9's quite difficult to adjust to. The 10s make up for my poor picking technique too!

Re: Do you guitars have different string gauges?
For the most part, I choose string gauges based upon scale length so:
- The Charvel Strats and Ibanez PGM301s all get 10-46
- The LP Classic gets 11-49
- The Brian May gets 9-42. Despite it's really short (24") scale length, the lower frets and smaller fingerboard radius made it feel a lot different than any of my other electrics.
- The Ovation Adamas gets standard acoustic lights (12-53) but tuned down a half-step. I haven't found a set of acoustic strings that have slightly less tension than standard acoustic lights (at concert pitch) and still sound good to me.

Re: Do you guitars have different string gauges?
All my guitars have about the same scale length (25.5") and tuning, and they all have the same strings (EB Hybrid Slinkies, 9-46).

Re: Do you guitars have different string gauges?
Excluding acoustic guitars, I generally use 9 - 42 on most guitars, except for one guitar with custom lights (9's with a thicker bottom gauge - I don't remember the gauges off hand) and another with 10 - 46 (Again, I don't remember the gauges off hand)
