You didn't have the option I would have chosen.

"Like to look at them, buy probably wouldn't buy one."

Same here, love swirls but not for every guitar.

Will own one someday, for sure!

Re: Do you like Swirls?

Question: Would it be possible to do a swirl and still see some of the wood grain? Could you possibly incorporate some clear in order to see the wood grain through in some spots? I think it's be awesome to have a stained wood-grain guitar with a couple of simple swirls over top - like ribbons.

And where's the "take 'em or leave 'em" vote. 'Cause as it stands, thats how I'd vote. Some are nice, some suck . . .

I love swirls, you can look into them for ages, but I would not prefer them over every other finish though.

In my experience, swirls look either absolutely amazing, or terrible. I have not yet found a middle ground.

I agree, although I think most look bad...Some are absolutely breath taking everything else is like a bad rip off...

I think they're nice when it's a limited special thing. It's almost become an overloaded mess. When it was the UVMC it was amazing, since then it's become very watered down for me.

Re: Do you like Swirls?

There's good swirls and bad ones. The good ones (W Merckel's DNA) are wonderful. Bad ones are crap.

Love them above everything else? No. Like them a lot (if good)? Yes.
