Like the majority have said here.
10 foot tall and bulletproff. But sound like crap
On a side note I used to go watch a local band named B.O.H.I.C.A.( Bend Over Here It Comes Again) that always played drunk...not that great, but super entertaining to watch!

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
I can't play for ****e when drunk but at least I don't care that I suck. I would never play drunk in front of someone else, but when I'm working on recording projects and come home drunk I sometimes pick up the guitar and try to lay down some tracks. It sounds good at the time but when I listen to it the next day...

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
At our last gig, we were supposed to go on at 2pm, but no one was around, so they said to wait till 5pm. So we camped out by the margarita machine. By the time I had a good buzz going, it was 5pm.
Now I know what Yngwie feels like. I couldn't get the left and right hands to line up if I played with any speed. I also had some trouble singing, but, I didn't care.
One other time, I drank a lot of vodka and recorded myself playing. I thought it sounded so beautiful and emotional. Then I listened to it the next morning...

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
I can't play if I've drunk too much, well, not well anyway, but a few drinks before is normally OK as long as I don't feel too drunk. Having said that, a shot before stage is normally a bonus that helps get me in the zone

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
not at all. I did it once and never want to do it again. When i'm sober i concentrate alot more and pay attention to everything and put on the best show possible. When i'm drunk tend to play what i want, so thats pretty bad.

...well, not in my opinnion as there are a few who really can, and many of them can't even play without having some kind of "help".

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
I've only had one performance that I ever drank at, and actually sounded good and played well (I don't just "think" so, I "know" because we had it on tape). Otherwise, I know that I've put a LOT of dings and scratches on my guitar when "showing off" for friends after drinking, along with a lot of friends telling me not to play when I'm drunk cause I sound like crap!
Maybe that's why PG doesn't drink on stage (he's not bad!)

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
A drink or two is fine, makes me less nervous and doesn't really affect my playing too much.

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
I think it's plain fool to play while drunk or whatever. You're there to play!
It's ridiculous, I have no doubt that you play worse, alcohol has an affect...
admit it or not...
