Re: Do you play better while drunk?
i hate playing when im drunk, my hands feel kinda numb and hard to control, but like a couple other people mentioned, after a couple hits of the green my creativity kicks in, and my improvisation starts to get pretty interesting, in a good way =)

bro it's cool! -to many times i'v regreted the firewater & peace pipe together, & it gets to a point when you just can't see out of your eyes but a little sniff of cokeacola & improvisation just hit a new level! only thing is you will die sooner than later.
Cheers- Jake.

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
i can understand a drink or two to loosen up a bit. but getting drunk just for the sake of getting drunk is incredibly stupid, whether your playing, at a party, or whatever. i'd rather have control of myself than pass out. i don't know, thats just me.

Uhmm,..I've been hearin' that some have you kids have touched drugs. Jake have you touched drugs? cus drugs are bad , m'kay.
I've played live in all manner of states and always found I ended up regressing to the safety of the pentatonic box. This is cool if you're playing a strat/LP but stood up there with a bright yellow jem, never venturing more than 4 frets apart makes you look like a total doofus.
Now I save the drinking til after I've finished...A hard lesson but I'm glad I learnt it.

I can't remember...
Ask Ed
Van Halen
. I heard he blew people away while totally drunk off his ass on the last tour. Or maybe I heard it wrong and he blew while playing drunk.
Either way, I can't remember...

Ben
mmm....I have in the past bro... but I don't do hard-core drugs anymore or smoke because a friend of mine died on that sh!t! bad OD.. I only have a drink now & then but never to much, I know it's bad I lost a good bro from it, hard lesson to learn in life, as i've said in posts here-( you will die sooner than later) & i wasn't joking about it.
thanx anyway bro! i'm ok now & will stay that way.
Cheers-Jake.

Agreed.
Working in a pub teaches you a lot of lessons, two of which are a) 99% of people that are drunk talk out of there arse b) I don't care what anybody says, you can't do a thing better whilst drunk* you only THINK you can.
*Ok, so maybe you can puke and stagger better whilst drunk.

Oh yeah, and I've bought TONS more gear since I've quit smoking and cut down the booze. Do you want a numerous hangovers? or a how about a Jem and some new pedals? I know which I'd go for

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
For me drinking & trying to play guitar never went very well together. I rarely drink now, so it's not a problem. Although, you'll find that an empty liquor bottle makes a cool looking slide, if you can get it on your finger.

Re: Do you play better while drunk?
all playing drunk does is make you think your playing better, you know the hot girl theory.
