I got really drunk before a gig once and I'll just say, that's the last time I do that. At the time I thought it sounded great but then I heard the recording of it later. At least everyone else in the band was drunk too so I wasn't alone.

I was a monster player on acid [or crank, or coca, or qualudes, or..] but I've never heard worse crap in my life than me with a drink or 2 too many in me. Considering I never drink it's not much of a problem, but years ago I was dating an "alchy" so I was tipping a few too. One night she wanted me to play for her and was it ever bad, but evidently good enough for a BJ

glad that worked out for you

i've never managed to get anything done at all, let alone play my guitar, while on drugs. i give you props, rich, for being able to do so (but not for doing drugs... they're bad... right?)

I'm thinking too much about what I should be practicing or playing. A few drinks and I am so disgusted with the way my fingers are acting, I put the thing down. I guess I may come up with some creative ideas, but they will certainly never make it to my fingers, so why bother. Maybe I should try writing them down.
