Favorite Grunge band of the '90s!

Even though I don't consider STP one because they transended this title, but they did get labeled this in the '90s because of timing proximity. Actually, most accept Nirvana, IMO transended this genre.

I wouldn't really call Mother Love Bone a '90s grunge band' since their singer died somewhere early 1990 and on top of that: what kinda musical genre is Grunge anyway? The one that requires you to wear flannels and come from Washington state? It makes no sense to me.

My favorite bands from that list are Pearl Jam and Soundgarden (so that would be Temple of the Dog?).

Of the options there... I'm gonna say Alice in Chains and it's a real shame I actually only heard them mid last year. However, my favourite grunge band of the 90's would have to be Silverchair.

The first time I heard Pearl Jam, I was blown away. Of course, I was sold after I saw Dave Abbruzzese's fluid playing style during their MTV unplugged performance.

Your opinion states basically you are not into the thread or any of those bands, which is fine. But, why post at all than? Or, talk about a grunge band that you like.
