I personally like the F-series on a 7-string. The top one is the "Sharkfin" one, which I also don't like much. As for the pointy one, it's ok, but I like the version I'm seeing in my head. I'll brb, gotta edit photo. lol

Sort of like this:

This is how I've seen it before (except 7-string), I think it looks cool. (About crappy pic, I edited it using MS Paint )

I prefer the non-rounded knife-edge....that sharkfin just makes me want to break the guitar.

I voted "other", I like Explorer headstocks. Ibanez pointy is probably second.

i love the jem headstocks but my total fav will always be the reverse pointed jackson. i started with jackson, maybe that is why. i'm still in love with steve vai's pink jackson from back in the day. he just sold it on **** as well...few months back!

Ibanez 6 in-line for sure. I used to like Jackson headstocks but I guess I grew out of it. The reverse Jackson/Kramer bananas look like hockey sticks.

Ah, too many headstocks to pick just one favourite. I'm partial to tilt-back headstocks with straight string pull from the nut to the tuners, either 3+3 (or 4+3) or six (or seven) inline.

I quite like Carvin's current inline and 7-string headstocks. Other favourites include:

- ESP's old pointy headstock that was more like a Jackson but not as angled (straighter string pull)... this one also looked great reversed, though i've grown out of my reverse headstock phase

- ESP's more fluid 3+3 and 4+3 designs are also quite nice, and go very well with the super-strat body style

- PRS has a really distinctive headstock design that looks great on their guitars and really gave them a unique identity

- The "classic" Kramer design (basically a Fender with the big circle lopped off... similar designs used by Pensa/Suhr) is a nice twist on the original, and Tom Anderson's (and Schecter's) compact 6-inline is very nice as well.

I always liked EVH's one on his Kramer hacked up guitars - always looked nice to me.

Parker's quite novel and a bit different

But my favorite has to be mine (like EVH's but my guitar builder put my name on it - NOT at my request but quite cool)

ESP or BCRich

Man... When i first saw Kirk Hammett ESP KH-2's headstock i thought that this guitar is a guitar for me. Really. The body is quite similar to other speed-guitars, but the headstock rocks !!! Especially if you look at if from the view of the player or from behind.

And check out BC Rich Warlock Head... This with horns. I would say YEAH !!!

I hear you! Something about a reversed headstock that just hurts my eyes.
Ummm...Eddie, aren't you the one with all the PGMs?

Pointy Ibanez - I've never seen ANY headstock I thought looked cooler. I really dig the reversed ones, too. The Charvel/Jackson headstock would be a close second.
