Always been a F1 fan Although I gotta admit, it has got a bit boring over last x number of years with hardly any over-taking!

Re: Favorite Motosports?

I voted for F1 too Gurj. I can see your point with whole overtaking thing. Everything happens in the 1st few laps and then it stays the same for the rest of race.

Re: Favorite Motosports?

...mmm Champ car doesn't exist any more, now there's only IRL
I miss the Mansell or Villeneuve's times, the CART was a serious alternative to the F1 championship. Lots of fancy tracks, Laguna seca, Surfers paradise, Long Beach, Toronto, Vancouver, Cleeveland, Michigan...but now...ah!

Motogp
World Superbike
British Superbike

Vale is the man

I used to like F1,but it's been utter rubbish since the Mansell/Senna days. It's just a procession with no racing!

I just don't see how you can say it is becoming more boring. All the years when Schui was running away with the championship got boring, but last season went right to the wire, and this season is seeing some unexpected competition for McLaren to come second ....

Re: Favorite Motosports?

No, I'm not talking about it, and I must say that, even if I'm italian andh here Ferrari is a religion, I'm a McLaren fan, but, now I see too much non sport related problems, much falsity (maybe in england it's not so, but here in Italy people only talk about ferrari and abou how mclaren is trying to damage it). You don't know how much people talked about how the MES could cause problem and how McLaren technicians could insert a potentially damaging software and so on...as Ham was 1st in Australia there was quite a mess about it, the race later won Raikonnen and people begun to say that Ferrari had already won the champ...so...
then the cars are becameing more and more critical, the areodinamics cause the drivers not to be able to overtake even if they drive 2 sec faster a lap...

The old CART series was really really more exciting, but even if you look at '90 grandprix you'llnotice how much more exciting they were compared to those of today

Re: Favorite Motosports?

message to all the people who clicked F1: watch a motogp race. its like an F1 only with genuine competing going on between riders rather than just doing strategy changes to overtake people.
world superbike is even better for competition, the electronics have sterilised motogp quite a lot
