seinfeld was very good sitcom, but it's designed for mindless 22 minute viewing that lent itself to syndication and repeats since any single episode stands on it's own (unlike many current TV shows). apples and oranges... glen

Hmmm... Interesting point. Perhaps it
is apples and oranges.
It's a matter of taste. I really don't dig these shows like Lost and such. I just think they continiously tease the audience. They promise some kind of payoff in the end for paying attention all the time, but then they just don't deliver.

They pretend to go somewhere with the story, but they actually don't.
So you've got a cliffhanger at the end of an episode, like, for instance we find out that somebody is actually on another side than the audience thought. And I'm supposed to go like this now:

. But then, three episodes later, this person has changes sides
again: yawn. It's like the screenwriters are laughing at the audience, saying: 'Just kidding! We don't know what we're doing! We're just making stuff up as we go along!

We're actually going nowhere with this!

'.
I just feel cheated on by shows like that. They ain't for me. But of course, to each his own.
