Long or short



I prefer his hair long...In short he looks like a school boy

he could wear one of them schooly hats like Angus Young of AC/DC & staple some dread locks to it & call him self- Paul Rusta Gilbert, hang a Joint off the head stock of the guitar? -lol!- anyway he is a top player with or with out hair.

id say both suit him, mabye short more... i dunno its not like satch who looked silly with long hair, not that im against long hair.... since im one of those long hairs myself

I say short.

Metal guitarists are supposed to have long hair, so this is more out of the ordinary.

PLUS as Gilbert says on his homepage: You can take a man out of the 80s, but you can´t take the 80s out of a man.

+1000 for Short-Hair-Gilbert being more 80s than any other long-haired shredder out there!

My vote goes for the long hair. He looks just too uhh.... 'indy' with the short hair. Maybe he's just pulling what Vai did several years ago, cut his hair then realized it was cooler when he had long hair and grew it again.. (You guys DO remember Vai with his short hair back a few years ago right?)

I have to say short. His hair is wierd and crazy short, when it was long it was limp and boring. And yes, Friedman has the best hair.
