XT for recording and playing through a full range amp and speaker.

GT for effects and using with a real guitar amp.

actually, i don't want one too bad. It doesn't have enough features as teh gt-8., plus, i don't want modeling, i want effects , and boss rules at effects

I've been thinking about getting a GT-8 Pro for quite some time.

I've got my Boss GT-Pro hooked up in stereo to my Mesa Boogie Simulclass 2:90 and it absolutely is the best tone I've ever had.

none of these sound good when turned up in a live situation.. through an amp they break up n bottom out and sound awful in general. u r making a mistake if u want to use it live.

Re: GT-8, XT Live, Digitech GNX4, Other

Not true..

If you use, for example, a gt8 in the effects loop of a guitar amp, using the effects alone.....how is it really any differant than using a bunch of stomp boxes in the loop?

Additionally, it can be wired so you have the correct effects in front of the amp (distortion, wah, volume, etc.) and the others in the loop. Sounds pretty much like having a bunch of stomps or even rack effects.

Just a few of my thoughts.

I like the Vox gear. The ToneLab SE was cool. Now I'm waiting for someone to get the ToneLab LE in stock.
