Re: Guitar Finish

Swirls are the best guitar finishes for me, hands down. No 2 are the same, the color combinations are endless, and when done by the hands of a master (Darren, Herc), they are truly works of art.

Re: Guitar Finish

Neither really, quite alot of the time I prefer a natural wood finish, especially if it is nicely waxed or oiled. But I do also have a soft-spot for plain black with a cream or white binding round it. That always does it for me too. But the natural wood is usually my choice, it just looks better, requires less maintenance.

Re: Guitar Finish

shame you didn't include transparent finishes in the poll. i think there are a million ways of making a guitar look great with a nice figured top.

tough one to answer, because it depends on the guitar. in terms of custom graphics, i am a big fan of the RG METAL (i think it was called that)... the one with the hot girly in the tight leather skirt... i get weak just thinking about that one...

Now I really want to see a picture of this RG Metal guitar that you're talking about.

I like many different finishes on guitars, but if I were designing my own custom guitar then I think I would want a custom textered paint job with a design scheme of my choosing.

OMG, that is just beautiful!!! Thanks for the link. Now THAT'S the kind of custom paint job that I'm looking to get on a custom guitar.....except textured.
