Re: How many hours a day?

when i first started 8 hours a day.now i just play when i feel like it maybe 1-2 hours a day, just play for my own enjoyment so no need to hammer it.my mate noticed something really strange about the way i pick.for 14 years ive been picking 2 down strokes then alternated.im on the case now to sort it,its feels very uncomfortable the whole of my arm moves instead of playing through the wrist.ive been playing long enough to fix the problem.practice makes perfect

Re: How many hours a day?

Ahhh, I knew I forgot one

I hate this now. I'm in class for part of the day and since Ive needed time off from work for other things its forcing me to work all the other days around it so I now play for maybe 2 hours a day

Re: How many hours a day?

i use to practice then i got to a level of proficiency that i liked so i stopped practicing and just kept jamming and sadly i am not very good at practicing anymore so it is really hard for me to learn new things, when i write things for myself or for friends people always say "sounds like jake wrote that" and they are almost always right.

Re: How many hours a day?

I used to "practice" quite a bit, but I just can't seem to find the time anymore. I'm happy if I play the guitar for 30 min a week.

Re: How many hours a day?

i barely practice, maybe half hour a day to an hour. and even then its just messing about like playing my favourite solos or riffs. however it comes naturally to me. for example i could play stairway all the way through even the solo 3 months after i started playing. dont make playing a chaw, thats when you start to hate it and give it up all together.

Re: How many hours a day?

I have two small boys and if I get a chance to play every other day I'ld be lucky, but when I do it's 2 to 3 hours. Just long enough to tare up my fingers. ;-D
