How much is your rig worth?

This should be fun, there are some serious gear hounds on here that probably have more invested in gear than I have in my house.
But I was just doing my year end inventory for the insurance company, and it's funny how it all adds up.

So what's it worth? And this isn't depreciated value, this is replacement cost. If a piece of gear is discontinued, then figure whatever the current model is (or closest to it).

Begin.

Re: How much is your rig worth?

My final total was right at $8500.00

And yeah...this poll is for "gear on hand"
If I included everything I've gone thru I could probably buy a small island somewhere

Becasue I'm so old ( ) rig always meant amp and effects when I was playing in clubs and such. Are you talkiing about the value of all the stuff we've got, or just the amp and effects?

This should be accompanied by a "How much of your stuff do you really need?" thread...

Good point Jim, we need to define what a rig is, to me your rig is whatever you take to the gig with you, guitar (or guitars if you take a spare), effects, amp and speaker cabs.

Re: How much is your rig worth?

Yep, I assumed a "rig" would be the stuff typically stuffed into the back of my car when I'm off to gig etc, but excluding the guitar.

For the purpose of this poll,

RIG = any and all guitar related gear including guitars, amps, effects, cords, stands, cases, etc etc.

Whoops. Too late. I based it on "rig" being the portion you'd take along and play through if you went on a gig. I consider what you're talking about to be a "collection".
